Priscilla J. McCollum

TOWN OF CAMBRIA —  

Priscilla J. McCollum, of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, in Beechwood Health Care Center, Getzville, NY. She was born in Tonawanda, NY, on March 3, 1928, the daughter of the late Norman and Catherine (Langbehn) Martin.
Mrs. McCollum attended the Pekin School and graduated from LaSalle High School. She was employed with the Remington-Rand Company for several years and later became a assessment clerk with the Town of Cambria, for 20 years, before retiring. Mrs. McCollum was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church and was a 4-H leader, belonged to Home Bureau and several card groups. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, gardening and doing crafts.
Mrs. McCollum was the wife of the late Lawrence McCollum, who died in 1986. She is survived by one son, Larry (Sharon) McCollum of Lockport, NY; two daughters, Karen Manning and Amy Fose, both of Pendleton, NY; five grandchildren, Kevin (Wendy) Manning, Jason (Lisa) Manning, Aaron and Joshua Fose and Colton McCollum; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Benjamin, Kyle, Ryan, Sara, Tyler and Caitlin; one brother, Edward (Roberta) Martin; four sisters, Patricia McCord, Charlene Austin, Beverly (Robert) Adams and Norma (Ramon) Rivera; a brother-in-law, Edgar Townsend. Also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCollum was the sister of the late Linda Townsend.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Hope United Methodist Church, 2914 Upper Mountain Rd., Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Matthew D. Kofahl officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to the Hope United Methodist Church or to Niagara Hospice. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton, NY.
