North Tonawanda — This is in response to the person who says there was a Jeffrey’s in the City of Tonawanda. The word is Zeffrey’s. It was an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. It was beautiful.

I was in McDonald’s on Meadow Drive on Feb. 28. While I was buying food, my 9-year-old grandson went to the bathroom and left his newly bought Sabres gloves in there. A man came into McDonald’s to use the wash room, not to buy anything, and walked out with the gloves. My grandson bought the gloves not even two hours earlier with his birthday money. People are just awful and it ruins my day.

I would like to know why I have to hear from friends across the seas that a man in England threatened to kill President Obama.  The man was arrested and the papers in England covered it. But I would just like to know why news like this isn’t published in America?

NT did it again, wasting money cleaning up snow that is going to melt in a few days. They were cleaning off private businesses? Don’t they hire their own snow plows?

If the city owns the property from the sidewalk to the curb then you ought to call the city up and tell them to shovel my sidewalk during the winter.

If you keep taking signals down on Nash Road, it will become a regular speedway. Don’t forget: It’s still a city street, with side streets driveways and businesses.

I think the North Tonawanda school district should look into requiring school uniforms. I think if the school board members walked around the high school and saw how some of these students dress they’d be appalled, to say the least. No school dress code is being enforced. They should consider the pros and cons of bringing back school uniforms.
