SOUND OFF: Published October 30

I am a City of Tonawanda 1st Ward resident and I feel this coming election is critical to the city. At the candidates meeting on Oct. 21, I was very impressed with Chuck Gilbert, the young newcomer for 1st Ward councilman. Gilbert was very knowledgeable of all the important issues. He also was confident and articulate. Although I am not of the same party affiliation, I will definitely vote for Gilbert. Our city needs his energy.

I can’t believe the dirty politics in NT. To help their mayoral candidate, the Republicans undermine Walmart to hurt Mayor Soos. Guess what? We the residents are getting hurt! Why do we put up with this?
