‘Tis the season for leaf pickups! I’ve noticed in the leaf pickup schedule it states “Do not put leaves in the street.” Driving all around NT, Master, Wurlitzer, all the side streets, I’ve noticed that all the people are putting their leaves in the streets. I think there should be a fine for that.

I’d like to say I’m extremely horrified by what happened to my sister the other day. She was picking up my niece from school, at Gilmour Elementary, and her car was egged on the windshield. She could not see, and she called the police to report that people were egging. Maybe if they caught the person, it will be on file that it was reported. The police told her, what do you expect...it’s TNT day.

How much longer do we have to keep looking at Michael Jackson every time we want to look at the TV guide for Time Warner Cable?

Eric DuVall is out of touch with the City of North Tonawanda. He calls Ortt a break from all the past problems that have plagued the city. He is wrong. Ortt is the fresh face for all the problems facing the city. Namely, career politicians like Maziarz and Wojtazek stopping Walmart for political gain, for Ortt’s political gain. Their control of the city is what has hurt our city from developing and Ortt will be their new puppet.

I’m angry that the Republicans would stoop so low as to stop Walmart from coming to North Tonawanda instead of looking out for the best interests of the city. They are interested in their political game.

I think the North Tonawanda school district should look into requiring school uniforms. I think if the school board members walked around the high school and saw how some of these students dress they’d be appalled, to say the least. No school dress code is being enforced. They should consider the pros and cons of bringing back school uniforms.
