I can’t figure out why the market on Niagara Street has two lanes for right-hand turn, none for going straight, only one for turning left and straight combined. Why, if you’re going straight, should you have to wait for the person in front of you to make a left turn?

I agree that we need a Monday paper. We need to see the football scores and all that happened over the weekend. We definitely need a Monday paper.

Our beloved governor talking about the fiscal crisis of our state, stating it’s dangerous for the future of our state. The need for change must, I repeat must, change at the top. This is the same governor who gave his staff raises earlier in the year and has increased the size of his staff. It’s time for the leaders of our state to recognize that we cannot view state taxpayer dollars as their money. They must stop the spending, starting at the top with the governor, then with all the legislators and all the people in power.

I wanted to say thank you to whoever it was that burglarized my car late Saturday night and stole my tools, amongst other things. Now thanks to you I need to come up with hundreds of dollars I don't have to replace the tools before I can work to make more money to feed my family and buy Christmas presents. We need to unite as a community and put the crime in North Tonawanda to sleep once and for all.

Winter will soon be upon us. This is a note to all the self-centered, ignorant people who can never find the time to brush off their car windows and lights. Just remember, there is always time to fill out the accident report.

I think the North Tonawanda school district should look into requiring school uniforms. I think if the school board members walked around the high school and saw how some of these students dress they’d be appalled, to say the least. No school dress code is being enforced. They should consider the pros and cons of bringing back school uniforms.
