Tonawanda News — North Tonawanda

FRAUD: A Meadowbrook Acres man called Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies to report his Citizens Bank credit card had been duplicated and several purchases were made in North Carolina without his permission. The victim told deputies he was still in possession of his card so it appeared a second card with that number had been created. The man contacted the manager of an auto parts store where one of the purchases had been made and a clerk said she was familiar with the man who bought the items. The victim contacted police who pledged to follow up on the matter once he filed a report with the local agency.
