BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 9


City of Tonawanda

WARRANT: William J. Ripley, 41, 140 Main St., North Tonawanda, surrendered at 9:41 a.m. Friday on a warrant for petit larceny and is being held in lieu of $500 bail.

North Tonawanda

DWI: Richard C. Castner, 44, 40 Oakwood Terrace, was charged at 8:22 p.m. Thursday with DWI, speeding and moving from a lane unsafely. Castner allegedly refused a chemical breath test and was released on his own recognizance.

HARASSMENT: Ronald W. Staton, 42, 1305 Seneca St., Buffalo, was charged at 10 p.m. Thursday with harassment and held for court.

LARCENY: George A. Smith Jr., 37, 128 Vandervort St., was charged at 1 a.m. Friday with petit larceny and is being held in lieu of $500 bail.

DWI: Benjamin L. Hockenberry, 29, 131 Parkhurst Blvd., Town of Tonawanda, was charged at 2:36 a.m. Friday with DWI, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving with an obstructed view. Hockenberry allegedly failed field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.14 percent blood alcohol content. Hockenberry is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
