BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 27

City of Tonawanda

DWI: Emiliya Kats, 23, 203 Peppertree Drive, Apt. 4, Amherst, was charged at 12:50 a.m. Saturday with DWI, running a red light and driving on the sidewalk following a traffic stop on Main Street. Kats ran a red light at Main and Niagara streets, nearly striking a patrol car, according to the report. When being pulled over, Kats drove up over the curb and onto the sidewalk. She told officers she’d had one Guinness at a bar in North Tonawanda and was on her way home. She failed field sobriety tests, refused a breath test and was held for court.

HARASSMENT: Eric A. Guzenski, 38, 1401 Cambridge St., was arrested Saturday afternoon for harassment following a domestic dispute. No bail was set.

HARASSMENT: Joshua M. Ortiz, 18, 256 Roncroff Drive, was charged Saturday afternoon with second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute. He was released on his own recognizance.

Wheatfield

DWI: Deanna D. Husami, 24, 47 8th St., North Tonawanda, was charged with drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on the highway, DWI and speeding Saturday. At 2:58 a.m. Niagara County sheriff’s deputies saw a vehicle going 75 mph in a 55 mph and pulled the car over at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Shawnee Road. According to the report, deputies could smell an odor of an alcohol and Husami failed field sobriety tests. An alco-sensor tested positive for the presence of alcohol. A search of Husami's vehicle revealed an open bottle of Michelob Ultra. She refused a breath test.

DWI: Brian W. Sullivan, 31, 96 Marine Drive, Amherst, was charged with DWI and speeding Saturday. At 12:30 a.m. deputies made a traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard for a vehicle doing 62 mph in a 45 mph zone. According to the report, officers observed glassy eyes and the smell of a alcohol coming from Sullivan. He failed field sobriety tests and had a reading of .14 percent blood alcohol content following a breath test.
