ACCIDENT: One person was given a traffic ticket and another taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital with minor injuries following a traffic accident Friday afternoon on Delaware Street. Andrea M. Rutherford, 23, 350 Morgan St., was attempting to make a left turn from Delaware into the parking lot of Burger King. The car in the near lane stopped to let her through, but a car in the far lane was unable to stop, striking Rutherford’s vehicle. Rutherford was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and a passenger in the other car said she had some pain in her arm and a previous neck injury, according to reports.
DRUGS: Christina M. Wielgosz, 24, 329 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, was charged at 5 p.m. Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana after an employee at a Delaware Street gas station said the bathroom smelled of marijuana after Wielgosz and another man had been inside. Police responded and Wielgosz admitted to having about $10 worth of the drug in her purse. She was released on an appearance ticket.
North Tonawanda
PETIT LARCENY: Stephanie M. Cline, 32, 1405 Weaver Pkwy., was charged Friday evening with petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting $54.16 worth of merchandise from Tops on Meadow Drive. She was released on an appearance ticket.
WARRANT: Jacob S. Sauer, 21, 350 Fredericka St., was charged Friday evening on a warrant for failure to comply with a petit larceny charge stemming from a domestic dispute in September. No bail was set.
