BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 17


City of Tonawanda

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Young Street resident reported his home had been hit with several orange paintballs overnight Friday. No suspects were listed in the report.

DRUGS: Santino A. Zaino, 36, 696 Oliver St., Apt. 2, was charged Friday morning with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop. Zaino was issued an appearance ticket and turned over to Town of Tonawanda police for an outstanding warrant.

CONTEMPT: Christopher J. Angel, 23, 3060 Love Road, Grand Island, was charged Saturday afternoon with second-degree criminal contempt after violating an order of protection. He was held for court.

North Tonawanda

DWI: Steven M. Pienta, 23, 214 Jackson Ave., was charged at 4:15 a.m. Saturday with DWI, speeding and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle following a traffic stop at Fredericka and Payne. His blood alcohol content was found to be 0.17 percent following a breath test. He is being held in lieu of $750 bail.
