Tonawanda News — The Libyan embassy attack was unfortunate. Should the U.S. government have been better prepared? No doubt, yes. But to even think about sending troops in to get our pound of flesh in return is idiotic. The Republicans like to yap. Let us attribute a few numbers to our previous Republican regime. Three thousand Americans died on 9/11. Thousands more sent into two useless wars. Now Romney wants to be a big man and start another conflict in Iran. American people wake up!

In 1999 Mitt Romney had been part of an investment group that invested $75 million in Stericycle, a medical-waste disposal firm that has been attacked by anti-abortion groups for disposing aborted fetuses. Does this sound like a man that cares about life? God will take care of him.

I agree with the person who wrote in regarding feeding the deer. We have a problem with that also. There is a neighbor near us on Nash Road. who regularly feeds the deer and admits knowing it’s against the law. Look, we don’t want to see you arrested or embarassed, we just want you to stop feeding the deer. The food you leave for the deer is drawing all sorts of rodents and pest into our yards. I know the deer are beautiful and I myself enjoy seeing them at a distance. However, the diseases and ticks they carry are harmful. Attempting to make pets of these wild animals causes them to be unafraid of things that normal deer would run from and that puts them in harm’s way also. Please pick up a camera instead of an apple and enjoy the wildlife photos you can get right in your backyard.
