Tonawanda News — People condemned Romney for saying what he did about 47 percent of the people. He didn’t mean it that waxy, we all know that and everybody in this whole country knows what he said is true, and knows what he meant.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Remember there are only two classes of people who request permission to enter your house: vampires and landlords.

In response to Bob Confer’s article on the government not providing Social Security or Medicare, I agree, but he left an important part out. All these years they’ve been taking money out of my paycheck, I’d like some return on that money.

•••

The mayor wants to privatize garbage in the City of Tonawanda. I think that’s the only good idea he’s had as mayor.

•••

To the City of Tonawanda: Our garbage pickup is the best thing Tonawanda has going for the city. You’ve raised assessments, closed schools, playgrounds, etc ...  please leave what’s good enough alone. After 40 years of residing here, the best thing that is left in Tonawanda is the DPW.

The shootings at the mall, the movie theater, the college and the elementary school. All these guns were originally produced, sold and bought legally.

•••

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Jill Keppeler’s article in the news today. She seems like a great mom to raise her kids to call her up and say ‘I love you mommy.’ We need to tell our family members this every day. How many kids go to school without hearing that from their parents? That’s right I said parents. Kids need to hear that from their daddy, too.

•••

What an awesome story you have on the front page — the story of a little girl giving her birthday presents away. She must have great parents and grandparents. How nice it is to learn how rewarding it is to give.

•••

Here come the drones.

•••

Who in the world is allowing the Buffalo Bills to stay here?

•••

This is to the person who called in about how there are no school shootings at parochial schools. What does that have to do with anything? You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that, it could happen anywhere, anytime, any place.

•••

I call Sound Off because I’m computer illiterate. In regards to the shooting where all the kids were killed: They all want to do away with guns. Well, no. If they want to protect the kids where it doesn’t cost the taxpayers any more money and more pensions and more government jobs or teacher jobs or guards ... we’ve got a National Guard. We’ve got military all over the world protecting different countries. Why can’t you use military or our National Guard to sit at the schools during the day? It won’t cost us any more because they’re already being paid to be in the guard.
