Tonawanda News — We finally got the turn signal for the Erie Avenue and TCMH. Very good. It only took nine guys and six state trucks. Not bad. At least they got it done.

If the bars in downtown Buffalo can’t make a go of it because hockey players aren’t playing, do what every other businesses do: Shut down. We have big corporations shutting down if they can’t make it. I hate to see our money go to things like that. We have so many needy people in this area. I say close down your business if you’re not making money.

To the person if the city trucks hit their car, they’re going to pay for it. We had a lot of damage to our car from a plow. They’re covered under the New York State Safety Vehicle Law. If they have a yellow flashing light, they have to pay nothing. We paid thousands of dollars and the city paid nothing.

Tops had a bunch of big shots walking around looking at the new counters they put in. There’s one thing they haven’t done for 15 years. Pop and bottle machines for 15 years have been broken down, time and again. The receipts don’t print out. The people at the counter have to go check it out every time. When I told one of the gentlemen I would appreciate if you fixed these machines up, he just kind of looked at me and laughed. I wanted to take out my $1,000 prescription and go to Wegmans, but it’s too far and I’d waste money in gas.

Once again a child has been killed by a repeat drunk driver. There’s a lawyer on TV who said “sometimes good people make mistakes.” The first time it’s a mistake. The second time it’s attempted murder. There’s no excuse. If you’ve been convicted of drunk driving and get behind the wheel drunk again, you have no remorse, no soul and deserve to spend the rest of your life in jail.

They should make hoodies illegal in stores. You’re not allowed to go in with no shirt or no shoes. These punks who are robbing these stores are always wearing hoodies. You shouldn’t be allowed to go in a store with a hoodie.
