Tonawanda News — I see the City of Tonawanda has employees plant their trees — and I assume they take care of them in their early years. The NT side has “volunteers” who plant them and forget them and want to put a guilt trip on the rest of us who had nothing to do with them so we’ll spend our time taking care of them for the city.

Pretty soon we won’t have much of “old Webster Street” left.

As a reader outside of the Tonawanda area I want to thank all of you that write and call into ‘Sound off’ for brightening my day. Whenever I’m feeling down in the dumps I pull up the “Sound Off” section online and have a good laugh or two at the collective genius (yes that is sarcasm) of the Tonawanda News readers who take a moment out of their days to vent. The topics that ‘you people’ (yes that is meant in a derogatory fashion) complain about are just fascinating; the NFL players hair is too long, the music is too loud, my neighbors BBQ smoke goes in my window. Who cares if their hair is long? The other two issues can be solved by closing your windows for a while. It’s rare that anything that is being complained about is a real issue or would take half a brain to solve. But anyway, keep it coming loyal Tonawanda News “Sound Off” writers and callers, I love you in a slightly sick and sadistic way.

I’m a disabled American veteran and this past Saturday I was shopping when I purchased a money order for $50 and while I was shopping it fell out of my pocket in the store. I notified the service desk of what had happend and they said hopefully somebody will find it and turn it in. Well ... it’s been four of five days and no avail, I’m out $50. Well whoever found it, just remember, you stuck it to a disabled American veteran. I hope you enjoy your freedom and fifty bucks.

Well they’re going to extend the school day and perhaps the school year. Get ready for a lot of school dropouts.

Blessed are those that blessed Israel. Cursed are those that cursed Israel.

I’m calling about the billion dollars for Buffalo and Erie County. I want to know why they don’t just give every resident of Erie County $500,000 in cash, because the billion is only projected to created (a small number) of jobs.

How do you Sound Off editors keep a straight face. Why that rotten no good manager ought to be thrown in the poke for charging that man $14 for wine and soup. Couldn’t he tell that he or she was going to the dolar store for replacement glasses?

•••

I’d like to say thank you to the person putting the lights out on Marcia Drive in North Tonawanda, What a wonderful display.

•••

This is a thank you to David the kind motorist who stopped and drove me to the hospital. I hope that He blesses you many times over.

I’m getting really aggravated with the government getting into business and competing with private businesses.
