Tonawanda News — I read the article in the paper regarding little league drive and this statement appeared: “And although the city already has permission to separate the land from Veterans Memorial Park, the city will then have to invest money in another park or replace park land, per state law that does not permit the sale of public parks for private development without replacing it with an equal amount of space elsewhere.” Can someone explain what this actually means and where the city expects to find space?

How would you know that Hostess workers were making $26 per hour?  And if they were, who are you to decide whether that is too much or not?  Why do we need to criticize what others have rather than trying to get there yourself? There are haves and have-nots in this country. Rather than trying to take away from those that have why not try to get yourself into that class? Reading your statement “them workers got what they deserved” shows that maybe you need to learn English and maybe you could move ahead in life.

I’m an employee at the North Tonawanda Walmart and I would like to say thanks to all who came to shop on Black Friday. Every customer I encountered was pleasant and well behaved. Not at all like you see on the news at other stores. And for those of you who have not visited us yet, come see us!
