Tonawanda News — Thank you Tim Schmitt for honoring the NT-Tonawanda game for the institution it is and giving honor to Barbara Tucker as the institution she is. She always does and you also brought back and underlined so many memories we have kept for the last 50, 60 years. You put so much truth about what’s happened in our two towns. May it put an end to the negative comments from the jackeroos who can do something else with their life rather than complaining about her column.

It is Thursday, Oct. 25. Only two months til Christmas but what a gorgeous Indian summer day we’re having. It’s only noon and it’s in the 60s already. I hope everybody is enjoying this last shot of summer. I know two who are: Lawnmower man at the City of Tonawanda has been out for hours. The other is parking lot man who’s also been out there for hours washing down parking lots with a hose. I hope everyone enjoys this day, especially these two. We probably won’t see them again until spring.

I have now personally spent more than 42 hours trying to get a problem solved at First Niagara Bank. It’s a regular checking, savings, ATM and Master Card since April. All I get is the blame game. My confidence in First Niagara is now gone and now I’m bank shopping. When a bank can’t do these simple things someone should really look into them.
