Tonawanda News — Would be nice to have the NT athletic director not schedule soccer games the same day as the TNT game. It was obvious the players would rather be at the football game. Given the advance scheduling of football games before soccer games, keep away from the TNT night.

Now that the political season is over, it’s time to concentrate on something else. I drive both at 3 in the afternoon and at midnight. I’ve noticed how different police are at the two times. At 3 p.m., people are driving aggressive, cutting vehicles off and very rare do you see a police car out there. If you’re out after midnight, there are police cars running into each other. They also like to follow on your bumper. Is this a safe procedure to follow a vehicle? Very interesting.

I feel ever since the Buffalo Bills gave that quarterback Fitzpatrick that great big raise he’s gone downhill. I think they should take back the raise until he can prove himself.

For everyone whose check engine light is on in their automobiles, that is because there’s too much ethanol in your gas, thanks to Bush and Cheney. It’s to their benefit for us to use extra gas. If you’re interested in getting gas without ethanol, the only place I know of is the reservation. For anyone who can’t afford to get a new car, go to the reservation for your gas.

What is with the writer and Romney, wanting Romney to tell us where the jobs would be? Why are you not asking Obama “Where are the jobs?” after trillions of dollars added to debt. Unemployment is higher now than when he took office and he promised to cut the deficit in half. Instead he has added $6 trillion to the deficit. Obama has done nothing to create jobs and by the way maybe the Romney hater should check and see how many jobs have been sent to China and other countries under Obama’s watch. This will be the first generation that didn’t leave more to there children, unless you count the unsustainable national debt. Romney hater, give it a rest. Do you not have anything better to do with your life?

To the person who is concerned about the condition of trees and plantings around Oliver and Webster streets, I hope you will consider joining the all-volunteer groups that help to plant and maintain them. Volunteers are always very much needed. Please help make a difference rather than complain.

I can’t believe the two complaints there are about the pro football players’ hair. Why does it bother you? It has nothing to do with how they play. No one pulls their hair. You label them as “thugs.” Really? What does a thug look like? Thugs are not bald or have short hair? I am 50 years old and I have long hair. I am not a thug. If they are role models as you say, it is their personality that counts not the length of their hair.
