On Colvin from Young Street, up to Brompton, the people seem to drive in the middle of the street. They don’t seem to realize that there are two lanes. You don’t need to drive in the middle of the street. Many times you can’t go by because people pull into the center.

Here we go again. A pedestrian being run down by a car because they have no idea what a crosswalk light is. Here it is: You can safely cross the street when the little guy up there appears in a walking position or when the sign lights up and says “Walk.” When the “do not walk” sign appears, or the red hand starts flashing, it means do not proceed off the curb. If you have stepped off the curb prior to that, continue across, but don’t lollygag.

I guess the people who voted for Larry Soos are the ones who drive around with “NT” on their license plates.

I agree that the election coverage by the Tonawanda News was very biased. Instead of encouraging people to attend or watch the debates on TV, the News was only caught up in casting their endorsements and publishing last-minute thrill coverage. Whatever happened to the old way of introducing people to the candidates? The News used to take pictures of each candidate and then post the responses to the questions they were asked. The News endorsements indicated many times that the candidates were lacking knowledge on the issues. What exactly were those issues? We have no way of knowing what they were asked. Are we to vote based on your judgments?

A whole column devoted to pay raises for judges. You’ve got to be kidding! And one of the quotes, it says unlike legislators, they can’t hold outside jobs. Yes they can! Just like you and I can. They can do something else, it doesn’t have to be doing a judge’s job. Unbelievable, when there are people living on $8 an hour!

Bin Laden is dead. GM is alive. Those don’t sound like failures to me.

If you keep taking signals down on Nash Road, it will become a regular speedway. Don’t forget: It’s still a city street, with side streets driveways and businesses.

I think the North Tonawanda school district should look into requiring school uniforms. I think if the school board members walked around the high school and saw how some of these students dress they’d be appalled, to say the least. No school dress code is being enforced. They should consider the pros and cons of bringing back school uniforms.

I’m very grateful I can’t watch the Butterknives on TV anymore. I mean the Sabres, heh-heh.

Bob Confer, looks like you did get a little help, regarding your unexpected sights in Niagara. Personally I don’t feel imperiled by bobcats, bears and other wild animals. But I am afraid of you and opinions.

There is no way the United States can afford a care package like Obamacare. This man has been a failure in everything he has done.

NT taxpayers beware: The district is facing a $1.5 million shortfall this year. Yet the district continues to have tech and music teachers with only 4 students per class while the academic classes continue to have 30 to 32 students per class. Where are the district’s priorities? Why are we teaching private vocal lessons to only a few?

Given all the “findings” reported at the Niagara County SPCA, it’s hard to understand why a third party has not been appointed to audit and review the status of the Erie County SPCA. According to several reports, both agencies work closely together on a regular basis. I think it is time the Erie County SPCA's practices and procedures be investigated as well. Based on encounters family members and I have had with the Erie County SPCA, I certainly hope they treat their animals better than they treat the people who come through their doors.

Boy, that's too bad about what happened to Vito's sign. I hope they throw the book at that guy! Just like that other restaurant in Budwey Plaza. The scene they made in front of everyone. They did nothing but embarrass themselves. If you don't know how to run your business properly, don't go blaming everyone else!
