Tonawanda News — About this Silver scandal. Why is it the taxpayers have to pay for the politicians’ misdeeds. Our taxes have to go up because of these expenses. I don’t feel it’s fair. They shouldn’t even be paid while it’s going to court. They shouldn’t get a pension, they should get fired.

I am absolutely outraged by the NT police failure to pursue the complaint by a woman who was attacked by a neighbor’s dog. If this woman was molested, mugged, raped or anything else she would be able to tell the police where the attacker went, who he was, what he looked like and the police would pursue it without any witnesses involved. They can’t do anything because they didn’t see it? Does that mean every other crime in North Tonawanda has to be seen? Of course not. This officer is way off base and the police chief is missing in action. This is an absolute outrage. We pay taxes and have a decent police force, but they don’t do their job to protect and serve. The mayor ought to do something about it.

Is the state of New York aware the mayor of Niagara Falls is threatening the Indians? I don’t think he’s allowed to do that, threaten fire protection. It doesn’t seem like the right thing to do. Shouldn’t the state be saying something to the Indians, not the City of Niagara Falls?

With the NHL lockout, do the players and NHL realize they’re pulling this and nobody is going to be interested in going to games anymore? This is ridiculous. Bad enough you ask outrageous prices for tickets. And pulling this stuff, you think you’re going to get fans to go to games? I wouldn’t go to a game or watch one on TV if you paid me.
