Tonawanda News — Congratulations to the American Legion Post 264 Band for winning the championship again. You’ve surely put us on the map. Thanks again.

The lawnmower man rides again at Tonawanda City Hall. I saw him Thursday, then again on Friday and again on Monday. Surely there’s something more to do at City Hall. I never see him washing windows. There are lots of windows and if he wants to be outside he can do that. It’s wasting gas and gas is expensive. Let him wash some windows.

If President Obama is for everybody as he said on the Letterman show, why will he charge 53 percent of people who pay federal income tax $2,000 for his health care law? My question, he hasn’t said anything about that in his campaign re-election bid.

Grow up, Mr. DuVall. Mr. Romney isn’t cynical, he’s realistic. Forty-seven percent are getting a free ride. Why should he worry about them? They have three hot and a cot. He doesn’t want to extend more privileges to them. He wants to reward people who work hard. I know this is a difficult concept for liberals to understand.

The Niagara County legislature is sure willing to spend money. I didn’t know we were so affluent in this county to just spend $16 million when I have to save for two months to get a new microwave oven.

To the person  who said a person cannot be 55 and a Vietnam vet, pick up a history book. The Vietnam war went well into the 1970s making it perfecty possible for someone to be 55 and veteran of that war.
