Bills' Bell to host fundraiser in Tonawanda

— — Buffalo Bills left tackle Demetrius Bell will be making his second trip to the Town of Tonawanda to host the amazing Sports Dash at 1 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Kenney Field to benefit his Kids.In.Sports Initiative.

Bell held a free football and cheer camp in late July at Kenney Field.

Winning teams at the event will receive four tickets to the Bills’ Sept. 25 home game against the New England Patriots, as well as a post-game meet-up with Bell, while the day’s events also include a raffle for a Demetrius Bell signed Authentic Bills jersey.

A pair of races will take place — a 1K race for children grades four and under at 1 p.m. and a 1.5K race for adults and youngsters in grades five and up at 2 p.m. The Amazing Dash After-Party is slated for 4 p.m.

The race fee is $30 per team for the kids race and $40 for the adult race. All teams will be comprised of two people.

In the Kids’ Amazing Sports Dash 1K, participants will race against the clock to complete a course that includes up to four sport-related challenges. The team that reaches the finish line fastest wins a visit from Bell to the team members classroom, autograph T-shirts for their entire class, as well as four VIP tickets to the home game against the Patriots. There are 40 team spots available for the event.

The Amazing Sports Dash 1.5 K will include up to seven sport-related challenges for its participants. The winning team wins four tickets to the Bills-Patriots game, post-game passes to the VIP area outside the locker room and a photo opportunity with the players. There are 60 open spots for this event.

Afterward, participants as well as area residents are invited to the after party, which will include food, drinks, raffles, as well as the opportunity to meet and great Bills players, receive autographs and take photos.

All proceeds benefit the Bell’s fund, which provides programs to educate parents and students about the benefits of participating in after-school sports programs. To register, visit Demetriusbell.info, or contact Greg Benton at 513-518-0518 or info@flyingcolorsports.com.
