Kenmore West senior Dan Faso took home first-team All-Niagara Frontier League honors, as voted on by league coaches.
Junior teammate Tommy Ryan was named second-team all-league as a catcher, while North Tonawanda ace Bobby O'Connor and designated-hitter Chris Mellott picked up third-team honors.
Meanwhile, Section VI Class AA runner-up Niagara Falls landed four players on the first-team ballot. Senior pitcher Andrew DeWitt, sophomore catcher Chris Cardona, sophomore infielder Joe D'Angelo and senior outfielders Joe DiLaura and Kyle O'Shea were all recognized as some of the best at their respective positions.
Class A state runner-up Grand Island scored three first-team all stars. Vikings ace John McGinty, infielder Dylan Kelly and outfielder Jon Voyzey all garnered all-league accolades as seniors.
Niagara-Wheatfield's Greg Janese (designated hitter) and Jon Liberti (infielder), and Dan Faso (Kenmore West) also earned first-team honors.
Second-team all-league selections include: Niagara Falls' Joe Colosi (pitcher), Grand Island's A.J. Jasek (pitcher), Kenmore West's Tommy Ryan (catcher), Lockport's Charlie Sobieraski and Rob Arlington (infield), Lew-Port's Josh Garrison (infielder), Niagara-Wheatfield's Nick Matos (infield), Lockport's Nick DiMartile (outfield), Lew-Port's Ben Casale (outfield), Niagara-Wheatfield's Tyler Wasiczko (outfield) and Grand Island's Kevin Dobson (designated hitter).
Third-team all-NFL selections include Niagara-Wheatfield pitcher Anthony Olivieri, Lockport catcher Dan Bronson, Niagara-Wheatfield's Mike Parisi (infield), Lew-Port's James Stuart (infield), Kenmore East's Jason Weatherby (infield), Kenmore West's Tony Ballistrea (infield), Kenmore East's Jordan Wainwright (outfield), as well as Lockport outfielders Nate Schneider and Colin Dougherty.
Niagara Falls' Dewitt topped all voting among pitchers, finishing the season 4-1 with a 0.72 earned-run average and 45 strikeouts. McGinty led the way with 52 strikeouts. DiLaura and Voyzey each hit at least .500, with Voyzey leading the way with a .530 batting average, including a season-high 26 hits.
Wheatfield's Parisi led the league in both home runs (three) and RBIs (19). D'Angelo and Janese each drove in 17 runs.
