University at Buffalo tailback Brandon Thermilus ran it 11 times for 126 yards and two scores and added a 29-yard touchdown reception the Bulls beat Miami (Ohio) 42-17 in a Mid-American Conference football contest on national television Wednesday.
It was UB’s first-ever win at Miami’s Yager Stadium.
Quarterback Zach Maynard also had a big day for UB (4-7 overall, 2-5 MAC), completing 13-of-18 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a score.
Wideout Terrell Jackson tossed a touchdown pass to tight end Jesse Rack and reserve running back Jeffvon Hill ran for a score late in the game.
UB, which led 21-3 at the half, accumulated 406 yards of total offense and did not turn the ball over.
Miami, meanwhile, had two critical turnovers as the RedHawks dropped to 1-11 overall and 1-7 in the MAC.

Tonawanda welcomes four more on cherished Wall of Fame
Chris “Mr. Tonawanda” Slauson (Class of 1998), Tom Perkovich (’99), John White (’75) and Jim Keller (’54) were enshrined as part of the 2012 Tonawanda High School Athletic Wall of Fame class prior to Tonawanda’s 69-45 win over Eden Thursday night inside the George Miller Gymnasium.
