Ferns, flora topic of garden club
The Kenmore Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kenmore United Methodist Church on Landers Road.
Paul Fehringer from Beaver Meadows will speak about ferns and other flora that are natural to the environment. Dora Graziano and Teresa Greene are chairman and the floral designer is Elaine Wiedemann. Guests are welcome.
On Feb. 16, an education workshop is planned with members making a garden candleholder.

Read to the Dogs program set
Children in first through sixth-grades are invited to practice their reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a Sandy, a certified therapy dog, at the Read to the Dogs program at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
Join Sandy and her handler at the library from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and Feb. 27. This time includes a flexible 15-minute break for Sandy.

‘Studio 2010’ exhibit opens at gallery
“Studio 2010,” the 13th annual exhibit featuring fine art created by artists working at Partners In Art Studios will open with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the studio, 74 Webster St., North Tonawanda.
The show in on view through Feb. 26.
The public is welcome and the studios are handicap accessible.
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
AARP tax preparers offer help at library
AARP income tax preparation representatives will be at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday through April 13 to help seniors with income tax forms.
No appointment is necessary.
Rummage bag sale set at St. Peter’s
St. Peter’s United Church of Christ will host a rummage bag sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event is in the church basement, 1208 Oliver St., North Tonawanda.
The public is invited.
