NORTH TONAWANDA

Football team to receive rings

The ring ceremony for the North Tonawanda High School football state championship football team will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda.

The free event will featured Maryalice Demler, anchor from WGRZ-TV, as master of ceremonies along with local dignitaries to help mark the occasion.

Rings commemorating the 2009 state championship will be presented at a formal program.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not necessary.

Spaghetti served at Renaissance Club

The Renaissance Club of North Tonawanda will be serving spaghetti from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the club, 252 Vandervoort St.

All-you-can-eat spaghetti is $3 with a la carte items available, including ravioli, homemade soup and desserts.



Support group facilitator training set

The Community Education and Referral program of the Mental Health Association in Niagara County Inc. will offer free support group facilitator training twice in March.

Training will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 31 at the Wheatfield Community Center, 2790 Church Road, Wheatfield.

Save driving class set at senior center

AARP will offer a safe driving class from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday and March 18 at the City of Tonawanda Senior Center, 35 Main St.

Class members must attend both days in order to receive their insurance discount.

The next class will take place in June.
