‘Aliens in the Attic’ on screen at theater
“Aliens in the Attic,” a 2009 adventure family film produced by 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises, will be shown at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda.
The show is part of the YWCA of the Tonawandas Family Film Series.
Tickets are $2.
Author to speak at history museum
Gretchen A. Duling will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. Monday at the North Tonawanda History Museum, 54 Webster St.
This is the final lecture in the 2009 Military Heritage series.
Duling, who will sign books, will speak about her new book, “A Legacy of Mutual Trust: The Diary (June 1944-May 1946) and Letters (1944-2005) of Otto Herboth, World War II German Prisoner of War Interned at Fort Niagara, NY.” Admission is free.
Gospel music group to perform at DADC
The Good News Minstrels will entertain at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the DeGraff Adult Day Care, 82 Mead St., North Tonawanda.
The Minstrels are a country gospel music group who have performed in many adult day care facilities.

Library hosts Saturday movie
“A Movie for a Saturday Afternoon” will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
The program is open to all ages. Parents are asked to accompany children under age 12.

Chowder will be ready at 11 a.m. and containers may be dropped off in advance.

Pregnancy, baby expo set in Hamburg
The fourth annual Pregnancy & Baby Expo to benefit Mercy Flight of Western New York, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Michael’s Banquet Hall, 4885 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg.
Admission is free.
The expo will feature a diverse range of services and vendors useful to pregnant women and families with children.
Art gallery seeks artists for show
Impact Artist Gallery, 545 Tri-Main Building, 2495 Main St., Buffalo, is seeking artists for its show, "Gift of Art and Crafts” which opens Dec. 5.
Delivery and jurying dates are Nov. 28 to 30 between 1 and 4 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 1.
The cost is $30 for non-members, with four to eight pieces accepted, depending on size.

Positions include laborers, pool/playground attendants, lifeguards, park attendants and Gateway Harbor attendants.
Anyone interested in a seasonal laborer position and available full time by April 15 should return completed applications to the clerk’s office by March 31.
All other applications must be returned by April 15. All applicants must be residents of Tonawanda and at least 16 years old by June 1. -
