The tree holds hundreds of “ornaments,” each with a tag listing the first name of a child whom the center serves, as well as his or her age, size, and gift wish. Shoppers choose a tag, buy a gift of their choosing and return the gift to the table. Volunteers are asked to work a three-hour shift and enter the gifts in a log book.
